"Exit Humanity" Official trailer.

How does a man deal with the loss of everything meaningful in his life, and the loss of mankind's humanity amongst chaos and despair? Set in 1870's Tennessee, Exit Humanity is the legend of Edward Young's horrific and dramatic journey through an unexplainable outbreak of the walking dead to lay to rest the most important thing in his life, his son's ashes. The bleak post-Civil War era backdrop highlights the severe divide that the United States was facing, the disasters that arise when man tries to play God, and the true loss of hope that so many felt during this period in history.

Exit Humanity blends live action and classical animation to explore how when in situations of severe horror, we must find hope through the very fears that drive us. Starring horror icons Bill Moseley (Devil's Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses), Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo), Stephen McHattie (The Watchmen, 300), introducing new horror hero Mark Gibson, and Narrated by Brian Cox (Braveheart, The Bourne Identity), Exit Humanity is a zombie saga that tells the tale of the ultimate battle of good vs. evil.

First photos, Moseley comments on “Exit Humanity”

We gave you a heads-up here on MONSTER BRAWL, a new feature by SCARCE producers Foresight Features, and mention was made of their immediate follow-up project, EXIT HUMANITY, a post-Civil War zombie film starring Bill Moseley (pictured left), Mark Gibson, Dee Wallace and Stephen McHattie. The movie recently wrapped and is currently in post, aiming for a 2011 release, and we’ve got a couple of early pics, a teaser poster and Moseley’s observations to share. “The writer/director is John Geddes, and I play General Williams, an evil Confederate Army general who is trying to learn how to control zombies that are plaguing that particular area of Tennessee in the early 1870s,” the actor tells Fango. “He’s involved in capturing the undead and trying to figure out what makes them tick, so that he can learn how to enlist them in his new army—to not only liberate the South, but to conquer those damn Yankees.” This is Moseley’s second recent character to hark back to that era, following his taking over of the Mayor Buckman role in 2001 MANIACS: FIELD OF SCREAMS, though he says this recent focus isn’t intentional. “I’m just happy to work, whether it’s period pieces, Southern or Northern, creeps or heroes—though I do have a certain partiality to crazy Southern gentlemen!” he laughs. Next year, watch the pages of Fango for an exclusive in-depth look behind the scenes with the filmmakers, and join a father-and-son zombie team as they share their living-to-undead transformation experiences in the capable hands of the Gore Brothers. Keep logging on to Fangoria.com for updates as well, and see more pics and info at EXIT HUMANITY’s Facebook page.
